Julia Dukes Adams

JULIA DUKES ADAMS FLORENCE, SC JULIA DUKES ADAMS, 91, went to be with her Lord Thursday October 30, 2014. Mrs. Adams was born December 13, 1922 in Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late Robert A. and Anna I. Epps Dukes. She graduated from Williamsburg High School and then Winthrop College. She taught Public Schools in Florence and Aiken for 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Florence and the Pilot Club. In Addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Adams, her twin brother, David A. Dukes, and her sister, Lucille Player. She is survived by her sons, Robert “Bob” Adams of Florence and Charles Adams, III of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren, Cheryl D. (Mike) Matthews and Robert C. Adams, II, both of Florence; two great-grandchildren, Caitlin Adams and Darrell M. Outlaw, both of Florence. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 3, 2014 in the Chapel of Mount Hope Mausoleum, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 P.M. in the Mausoleum Chapel.
