Cecilia Usry Smith

Cecilia Usry Smith died Thursday, March 9, 2017. She was born in Savannah, Georgia on August 6, 1955 to the late Margie W. Strand and John C. Usry. Cecilia graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with a Master of Science in Nursing. Her love of nursing was evident in the joy she felt helping others. She is survived by her husband Ronald Smith, son Matthew Smith and step daughter Tracey Stark; her sisters Jacie U. Godfrey, Dominique U. Holt and Rosalyn S. Blanchard; her brothers John Usry, Stephen Usry and Thomas Strand; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her very much. Visitation will be Monday, March 13, 2017 beginning at 6 p.m. at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
