Woodrow "Woody" Weatherford

Woodrow “Woody” Weatherford Florence, SC Woodrow “Woody” Weatherford, age 80, walked into the arms of his Savior on January 17, 2017, with his wife and children at his side. Born November 26, 1936, in Darlington, SC, he was the son of the late Walter D. Weatherford, Sr. and Estelle Bailey Weatherford.He served his country as a soldier in the Army and he worked at Dupont for many years before retiring to enjoy spending time with his family and friends.He loved his wife and family with all his heart, and he enjoyed watching football with his son, taking yearly beach trips with all of his family, and watching a good western in his easy chair.He loved the Lord and worshipped Him faithfully at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Florence where he had a pastor and friends that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Weatherford and sisters, Maybell Meads, Ruth Weatherford and Irene Weatherford.He is survived by his brother, Walter D. (Carolyn) Weatherford Jr. Also, surviving are his wife, Sharon A. Weatherford; daughters, Tamra Lynn (Rick) Rasberry and Laura Marie (Bill) Jewell; son, Woody Darin Weatherford; grandchildren, James Eric (Lisa) Rasberry, Andrew Trevor (Katie) Rasberry, William Ross Jewell, Lauren Elizabeth Weatherford and Raighan Renee (Liston) Miller; great-grandchildren, Koen James Rasberry, Kyla Joy Rasberry, Emma Snow Rasberry, KelliRai Elizabeth Miller, and Addallee Anne Miller. Memorials may be made to the First Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, 2624 W. Palmetto Street, Florence, SC29501. The family will receive friends from 11:00 – 12:00 noon Friday, January 20, 2017, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to follow at 12:00 in the funeral home chapel.
