Wilrma Tereasa Weatherford

Wilrma Tereasa Weatherford, 57, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017 surrounded by her children and grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, George Donald Weatherford. Ms. Weatherford was born in Florence, SC a daughter of the late George Charlie Weatherford and Alice Darline Weatherford. She had many joys in her life, the greatest being her children and grandchildren.The sound of being called Mama and Granna and the pitter patter of Saffie’s feet was music to her ears.Those who have had the pleasure of knowing her, fell in love with her unique personality.Her quick wit was sure to bring a smile to anyone.Her personality was a balance of direct “tell it like it is” and kind hearted, loving compassion.Always the encourager, her listening ear was never far.Her loud, infectious laughter will be greatly missed by those who love her. Surviving are her sons, Jason Cooke and Jonathan (Samantha) Cooke, both of Florence; daughter, Jennifer Cooke of Florence; grandchildren, Sidney Cooke, Noah Cooke, Imogen Cooke, Sebastian Cooke, Kallie Jordan and Gray Langston; sisters, Julee Morris and Kimberly (Scott) Weatherford, both of Florence; special friend, Vicky Harrington of Florence and her beloved dog, Saffie. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 PM Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Florence with the service to follow at 3:00 PM in the church.Burial will take place afterwards at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
