Wilma Ward Dupre

Wilma Ward DuPre, 102, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. Mrs. DuPre was born a daughter of the late John Wilmer Ward and Nancy Carter Ward.She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Bennettsville, SC, where she taught Sunday School.She graduated from McClenaghan High School in Florence.She worked with Railway Express, Florence Morning News, Marlboro Herald Advocate, and Lundin and Brogdon, CPA. Mrs. DuPre is survived by her son, Alexander (Zandy) DuPre; grandchildren, Matt DuPre, Stevie DuPre and Jayne (JJ) DuPre; and great-grandchildren, Aaron DuPre and Avery DuPre. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Francis L. DuPre; sons, John Lee DuPre and Stephen DuPre; brother, Dr. William T. Ward; and sister, Sara Lee Ward. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018, at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
