Willow Dean Sandifer

Willow Dean Eaddy Sandifer, 82, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. Mrs. Sandifer was born in Williamsburg County, SC, the daughter of the late Edison James Eaddy and Lillian Mozelle Eaddy. She retired as an administrative assistant with DSS in Florence County.She was an active member at First Southern Methodist Church where she was a long-time nursery worker as well as a member of the Avon President Club. Mrs. Sandifer loved all her children. She grew up in the Vox Community and graduated from Indiantown School in Williamsburg County.She went on to complete her education at Carolina College of Commerce in Florence.She met Tommy while in Florence and went on to raise her children and enjoy her life as a mother, homemaker and farmer’s wife.After Tommy’s passing she began selling Avon, worked at the SC State Employees Credit Union and eventually retired with the Florence County DSS.After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as caring for others. Surviving are her children, William (Shelley) Sandifer, Deborah (Tom) Turk, Dee (Danny) Rushing, James (Betsy) Sandifer, John (Jamie) Sandifer, and; grandchildren, Michael Carter, Crystal Sizemore, Kennedie Turk, Loretta Turk, Keith Turk, Mary Beth Grayson, Ross Rushing, Eric Sandifer, Blakelee Sandifer; and great-grandchildren, Haidyn Carter, Alissa Carter, Casey Sizemore, Will Sizemore and Brandon Turk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ross “Tommy” Sandifer, Sr. and her brother, William “Billy” Eaddy. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
