William Grant Stone

William Grant Stone, 73, of Pamplico, SC passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018. Grant was the beloved husband of Donna Cain Stone and father of Jason and Taylor Stone. Mr. Stone was born in Pamplico, SC. He was eldest son of the late Willie Graham Stone and Elmer Hughes Minnich.He worked with MSC Industrial Supply for over 40 years and was a member of Pamplico United Methodist Church and participated in the United Methodist Men.He was a lifetime member of the Pinewood Game Club and loved his Clemson Tigers. Grant Stone loved the outdoors and communing with nature. Nothing made him happier than sharing his passion for hunting and fishing with his family and friends. Now that he is in Heaven, he is surely walking through the woods listening to the birds and the yelping of his dogs. He is enjoying the sounds of the rippling waters of the Great Pee Dee River as well as Murrells Inlet. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Warren Gary Stone. His survivors are his wife, Donna Rose Cain Stone; sons, Jason Cain Stone (Tonya) and Taylor Moore Stone (Julie); grandchildren, Grason Benjamin, Anna Claire, Meredith Moore, and Lucas Cain; brother, Stevie Allen Stone (Sandy), and sister, Deany Stone Bazen; nephews and nieces. Memorials may be made to Pamplico United Methodist Church, PO Box 277, Pamplico, SC29583. The family will receive friends from 1 – 3 PM Monday, December 31, 2018 at Pamplico United Methodist Church with the service to follow at 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary.Burial will take place in Woodside Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
