William Albert Shoemaker

William Albert Shoemaker, 82, of Marion, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020. Mr. Shoemaker was born in Rivesville, West Virginia, a son of the late Gertrude Oleta Furman Shoemaker and Loyal Amos Shoemaker. He was a veteran of the US Army and a retired automobile mechanic with Anthony Chevorlet in Fairmont, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret Ann Ray Shoemaker; son, Mark Shoemaker; sisters, Valerle Sigley, June Cryderman and Nancy Morgan; and brother, Perry Shoemaker. Surviving are his sons, William (Merleen) Shoemaker, Jr. of Rivesville, WV, Eugene (Norma) Shoemaker of Morgantown, WV, Kevin Shoemaker of West Virginia, Erik (Andrea) Shoemaker of Florence, SC; daughters, Robin (William) Michael of Rivesville, WV, Joy Treharn of Grant Town, WV; Tammy (Kenneth) Mitchell of Fairmont, WV; brothers, Junior Shoemaker of Rivesville, WV, Duke Shoemaker of Fairmont, WV and John Shoemaker of Rivesville, WV; sisters, Neta Smallwood of Fairmont, WV, Susan Shepherd of FL, Donna Wilson of Morgantown, WV, and Cindy Miller of FL; 25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Even though the family may not be present, you are more than welcome to come by the funeral home from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, to pay your respects to the family by signing the register book.
