William “Bill” Schwerzler, Jr., 63, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014, at a local hospital. Mr. Schwerzlerwas born and raised in Charleston, SC,a son of the late William Kenneth Schwerzler, Sr. and Mildred Sarah Kirkland Schwerzler.He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and New Beginnings Non-Denominational Church and enjoyed being a member of both choirs.He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.Mr. Schwerzlerloved to travel, play his guitar, and his work as a diesel mechanic, but most importantly, he loved his wife and family. Surviving are his wife, Tammy Windham Schwerzler; his sons, William Kenneth Schwerzler, III and his wife Mindy of Moncks Corner, David Lee Schwerzler and his wife, Vamp, of Florence, and Kyle Lawrence Schwerzler , who is predeceased by his wife, Brittney and their son; his daughters, Ashley Lane Windham and her husband, Gregg, of Hartsville and Crystal Caughman Euten of Bishopville; his step-daughter, Ashley Windham Bunn and her husband, Kenneth, of Columbia; his siblings, Marie S. Novotney, who is predeceased by her husband Dr. Robert Novotney, of Florence, Joseph J. Schwerzler and his wife, Judy, of Winston-Salem, Crescens S. Roach and her husband, Steve, of Sellers, James L. Schwerzler of Chicago, Karl F. Schwerzlerand his wife Dawn of Hannahan; and Martin A. Schwerzler and his wife, Ransom, of Wiesbaden, Germany; twenty-two grandchildren; six nieces and nephews and five great-grandnieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.on Saturday at the funeral home.
