WILLIAM LESLIE REGISTER FLORENCE, SC William Leslie Register, 91, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at a local healthcare facility. Leslie, better known as “Buck” by his family and friends, was born on October 22, 1921.He was the oldest son of the late William Earnest Register and Annie Quick Register from Lydia, SC.Buck was employedas an electric motor rewinder and had worked in Florence, SC, Charlotte, NC and Panama City, FL and most recently at Coastal Electric Rewinding in Myrtle Beach, SC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Estelle Register Bryant and Nellie Register Walters Turbeville, both of Florence; his brothers, Joseph Register and Edward Register, both of Columbia, and James Register of Florence; a niece, Willie Jean Bryant, of Conway and three nephews, LaVerne Walters, of Myrtle Beach, and Carmen Alan Register and Ronald Lee Bryant, both of Florence. Buck is survived by his brother, Jerome E. (Cheryl) Register, of Florence; five nephews, William (Buddy) Bryant, B. C. Walters, Richard Bryant, Joey register and Marshall Register; seven nieces, Annelle Hutchinson, Valerie Hodges, Debbie Fortner, Bunny Dorriety, Diane Broome, Wanda Register and Lori Ann Iseman;several great and great-great nieces and nephews and a list of other family and friends. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 8, 2013, at Hillcrest Cemetery, located off Highway 544 in Conway, SC, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM– 8:00 PM on Thursdayat the funeral home and at other times at the residence of Jerome and CherylRegister at 2125-C, Sanderling Drive.
