William Frank Keefe, Jr., 86, of Pamplico, SC, died peacefully on Friday, July 18, 2014, at home after an illness. Mr. Keefe was born in Pamplico, the son of the late Frank, Sr. and Gussie Lewis Keefe. He was a farmer and owner of Keefe Lumber and other business interests. He was a member of Pamplico First Baptist Church. He loved to talk and dance but most of all loved his grandchildren.He was a hard worker, an avid businessman and had a heart of gold.He lived a full life and loved to give more than he received. He will forever be remembered as a selfless and unforgettable man. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Betsy Annette Keefe ; his daughter, Gayle Keefe McGee; and his siblings, Lewis Keefe and Ruth Locklair. Surviving are his sons, Bill (Sharon) Keefe and Wayne (Brenda) Keefe, both of Pamplico; his son-in-law, Jimmy McGee of Coward; his grandchildren, Crystal (Edward) McGee, April (Jerry) Smith of Coward and Curt (Crystal) Keefe of Effingham; his great-grandchildren, Chris and Haley McGee, Kelsie and Kade Smith and Ava Grace and Ana Keefe; his siblings, Lois Gaster, Nell (Garland) Bernard and Doris (Faye) Thompson; and his special friends, Allen Defee, Barbara Brunson, Ann Oglesby and her family, and Shirley Robinson. A FuneralService will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2014, at Pamplico First Baptist Churchdirected by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.A private interment will be held at a later date. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home and at other times at the residence of Bill and Sharon Keefe.
