William Jessie Norris

WILLIAM JESSIE NORRIS FLORENCE, SC WILLIAM JESSIE NORRIS, 78, of Florence, passed away on Friday, February 01, 2013 at Carolinas Hospital after an illness. Mr. Norris was born in York Co, SC a son of the late John and Mary Huffstler Norris.He had attended the Florence Baptist Temple and retired from Shaw Lumber Company after 41 years and a Cabinet Maker for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Jessica Parker, who passed away on May 22, 2009; brother, John W. Norris; sister, Ada L. Luther, May Bell Blalock, Jeanette Bradley and Daisy R. Norris. Surviving are his loving wife of 29 years, Linda Diane Hyatt Norris of the home; children, Amy (Kori Snipes) Norris and Joseph Norris, both of Florence; grandchildren, Russell Snipes, Tonya Parker, Randy Parker and Billy Norris; thirteen grandchildren; sister, Mary Nivens of Gastonia, NC and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Florence Baptist Temple, 2308 South Irby Street, Florence, SC29505. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM February 3, 2013 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Dillon, SC.
