William Fritz Hanna

WILLIAM FRITZ HANNA FLORENCE, SC WILLIAM FRITZ HANNA, 68, of Florence, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at his residence after an illness. Mr. Hanna was born in Florence, SC a son of the late W.J. and Elena Hutchinson Hanna.He was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church.He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, an avid hunter and fisherman and was a sharpshooter that shot competitively with the N.R.A. having won many titles, plaques and trophies.He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, S.J. Hanna and a nephew, Len Hallman. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Carol Ann Sarvis Hanna of Florence; children, Jamie Fritz Hanna of Greenwood, Margaret Elena “Marlena” (Erick) Hanna-Lownsberry and Michael Wayne (Laci) Hanna, both of Florence; grandchildren, Andrew Lownsberry, Cole Hanna and Caleb Hanna and a sister, Betty (Carl) Hallman of Florence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 20, 2013 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 PM Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
