William Milton Garnett

William Milton Garnett, 79, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Mr. Garnett was born in Paxville, SC, a son of the late Joe Lee Garnett and Beulah Thigpen Garnett.He was a veteran of the US Air Force.Mr. Garnett was a member of Mizpah Baptist Church.He retired from Stone Container and was a member of the Stone Container Hunting Club. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Fleming Garnett; son, Bill (Mary Lou) Garnett of Fountain Inn, SC; daughter, Wanda Kaye (Gerald) Campagnari of Sumter; grandchildren, Molly Elisabeth Garnett and Kaylee (RJ) Showler; great-grandchildren, Waylon Cribb and Alyssa Grace Showler; brothers, Dargan Garnett, Raymond Garnett and Jackie Garnett; sisters, Margaret Kelly, Evelyn Karoffa, Ruth Chambers and Earldine Brown; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Elizabeth Perkins, Joseph Garnett, T. W. “Dock” Garnett, Katherine Bailey, Alma Lucille Garnett and Howard Garnett. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016, at Mizpah Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mizpah Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends on Friday from 3:00 p.m. –4:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mizpah Burial Ground Association, 233 N.
