William Gerald "Jerry" Allen

William Gerald Allen, 83 of Florence passed away on Thursday October 22, 2020.Jerry was born in Florence, SC a son of the late Cyril David Allen Sr. and Marie Elizabeth Turner Allen.He was a Mason for many years.He loved to play golf and enjoyed the beach.Jerry served in the US Coast Guard and was a successful Real Estate Developer for over fifty years. Jerry was a Christian and a beloved husband, Dad and Granddad. He was preceded in death by his parents: son, William Gerald "Bubba" Allen, Jr.: daughter, Celeste Janice Allen: brothers, Cyril David Allen Jr., Donny Ray Allen, Johnny Bruce Allen: sisters, Sandra Allen Edwards and Jackie Allen Hatchell. Surviving are his wife Rona “Ronnie” Allen, his son William “Will” McLean Allen, his daughters Jacqueline Anne Allen and Jeri Elizabeth Allen, grandsons Kye William Phillips, Jameson Jordan Sexton and granddaughter Taylor Blaine White (A.J.) of Florence and three great grandchildren: Blaine, Leighton and Colten White, Brother: Ronnie,(Jean) Allen of Latta: sisters: Thelma Flowers Corbett and Linda (Jim) Harris both of Florence; sister-in-law Ginger Simkins Allen of Florence and brother-in-law Calvin Wells Hatchell. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 on Monday, October 26th at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.There will be a graveside service at Mount Hope following the visitation at 2:00 pm.
