Willa Eaddy Bazen

WILLA EADDY BAZEN PAMPLICO, SC WILLA EADDY BAZEN, 79, of Pamplico, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mrs. Bazen was born in Florence County, South Carolina a daughter of the late Jim D. Eaddy and Cornelia McDaniel Eaddy.She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Pamplico where she was a member of the Discipleship Adult Sunday School Class, taught Sunday School for the Senior Adult Classes and played piano for Wednesday Night services.She had served 31 years and 1 week with Southern Bell and AT&T before retiring on March 6, 1981 in management in the construction department.Prior to retirement, she had worked in the local, dial unit and clerical departments. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thomas Eaddy, D. Jeddie Eaddy, Ezra Eaddy; sister, Annie Lou Eaddy and a sister-in-law, Frances Eaddy. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Jesse Kenneth Bazen, Jr.; son, William Earl "Bill" (Jackie Y.) Bazen; granddaughter, Julie Paige Kelley and her children, Preston Kelley, McKenna Kelley, Jalyn Paige Kelley and William Kenneth Kelley; granddaughter, Joye Leigh Smith and her children, Trenton Smith, Trinity Smith, Cabbott Smith and Temperance Smith; brother, Godfrey (Paula) Eaddy; sister-in-law, Grace Johnson; brother-in-law, Spigner Eaddy; helpful caring friend, Sally Poston and members of the Jolly Club at Mt. Zion. Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1883 S. Pamplico Hwy., Pamplico, SC29583. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Mount Zion Baptist Church, Pamplico.Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
