Wilbur L. Ham, 91, of Florence, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 18, 2017 at the McLeod Hospice House. Mr. Ham was born in Effingham, SC, a son of the late Charlie G. Ham and Zellie Turner Ham.He was a charter member of Unity Baptist Church and a faithful member of the M.P. Nolan Sunday School Class.He retired as office manager from Chase Oil Company in 1988 after 33 years.He served in the Army National Guard for 11 years.He loved fishing at his lake house on Lake Marion. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Otis Ham, Albert Ham and Coady Ham; sisters, Dorothy Bruorton, Lillian DuBose and Earline McGee. Surviving are his wife, Betty C. Ham of Florence; son, Stephen L. (Robyn) Ham; daughter, Deena H. (Cullen) Shelley; grandchildren, Jessica L. Ham, Alex J. (Nina) Ham and Ashley S. (Andrew) George; great-grandchildren, Anna, Jack, June and Elizabeth George.
