WAYNE ERVIN BAZEN FLORENCE, SC Wayne Ervin Bazen, 70, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at his residence after an illness. Mr. Bazen was born in Pamplico, SC a son of the late Borie Edward Bazen and Ruby Poston Bazen.He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and Shriner.He was a US Army veteran having received a Purple Heart during the Vietnam War.He loved fishing and was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Borie Bazen and sister, Clara Cribb. Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Betty Rogers Bazen of Florence; son, Frank Hood of Charleston; daughters, Amy Bazen (Chris) Lienemann of Virginia, Ashley Bazen (Kip) Jones and Susan Hood (Lance) Green, both of Florence and Lisa Hood (Bob) Lowman of Conway, SC; grandchildren, Meagan, Adam, Lauren Elizabeth, Connor, Kiptyn, Luke, Avery, Katherine and Kambria; brothers, Randolph Bazen, Levern Bazen and Billy Bazen, all of Pamplico and Harold Bazen of North Augusta; sisters, Murell Collins and Mary Hucks, both of Pamplico and Judy Strickland of Olanta, SC and by his special girl, Miss Daisy. Memorials may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church Building Fund, 524 South Ebenezer Road, Florence, SC29501. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Ebenezer Baptist Church.The family will receive friends at his residence.
