Waver Lamar Stone

Waver Lamar Stone, 87, of Pamplico, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Stone was born in Hannah, SC a son of the late Russell Corbett Stone and Eula Mae Poston Stone.He was an owner and operator of C & S Used Cars in Pamplico.He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Grace Anna Calcutt Stone; brothers, Carmon Stone, Fred Stone, R.E. Stone, James Stone and Robert Stone and sisters, Della Russell and Kathleen Stone. Surviving are his sons, Ronald Lamar Stone of Pamplico and Russell Bradford “Rusty” (Gwen) Stone of Tampa, FL; daughter, Betty Lynn Stone of Pamplico; grandchildren, Scott (Crystal) Turbeville of Charleston and Chris (Maria) Stone of Tampa, FL; great-grandchildren, Julian Turbeville and Stone Turbeville; brothers, Jay (Elaine) Stone of Effingham and Carol Mitchell (Donna) Stone of Florence and sisters, Mae Caplinger of Sumter, Lera Poston of Pamplico, Verda Heritage of Ladson and Russ Lindburgh of N. Charleston. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the family receiving friends immediately following the service.Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
