Warren Leland Tapp Effingham, SC Warren Leland "Red" Tapp, 85, died Saturday, July 14, 2012 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Lighthouse Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Mr. Tapp was born in Tampa, Florida, a son of the late Barney Frank and Ernestine Lutrell Tapp. He was a graduate of North Charleston High School. He was a member of Lighthouse Free Will Baptist Church and was Vice President of Cameron-Barkley from which he retired after 35 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Wilodean Brown Tapp. Surviving are four sons, Rodney (Jollie) Tapp of Charlotte, NC, Terrell (Janice) Tapp and Tandy (Julia) Tapp both of Effingham and Tommy Tapp of Florence; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Lighthouse Free Will Baptist Church, 4300 S. Irby Street, Florence,SC 29505. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home.
