Wanda Morris Cox

WANDAMORRIS COX FLORENCE, SC WANDAMORRIS COX, 54, of Florence, died Friday, January 14, 2011, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Ms. Cox was born in Florence, SC on February 28, 1956, the daughter ofEvelyn Rogers Morris and the late James Quinton Morris.She graduated from South Florence High School and received an Associate's Degree from Florence-Darlington Technical College.She was an active member of Evergreen Baptist Church and served as an adult Sunday School teacher, a leader for Girls in Action, on various committees and for many years, an active leader/participate of Relay For Life.Ms. Cox had been employed with J. P. Morgan Chase for the past thirty years in various capacities.Her most recent position was that of Vice-President/Bankruptcy Manager. Surviving are her mother, her husband of thirty years, Edward A. Cox, Jr.; her beloved daughter, Stacy (Chip) Cox Threadgillof Florence, SC;a sister, Barbara (Timmy) Morris Owensof Effingham, SC; as well as many special nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Avenue N, ATTN: Florence RFL, Myrtle Beach, SC29577. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Evergreen Baptist Church.Burial will follow at the church cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
