Wanda Dell Deaver Perkins Florence, SC Wanda Dell Deaver Perkins, age 68, of Florence, SC went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the McLeod Hospice House surrounded by her 3 children, family and friends. Ms. Perkins was born in Spartanburg, SC, daughter of the late Derwood and Evelyn Weatherly Deaver and was raised in McColl, SC.She was a godly woman who loved the Lord, her family and friends. She lived her life doing for others and was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, sister-in-law and friend.Among her many gifts, she was a wonderful listener who had a way of making everyone feel loved and accepted as they were.Her beautiful smile and loving words assured those around her that everything was going to be all right. Surviving are three children, Wendy Logan, Kenneth (Ashley) Cain, both of Florence, and Rebecca (Reid) Roberts of Colorado; honorary sons, Allen Welch of Pawleys Island and Guy Biggs of Tennessee; sister, Becky (Bobby) Flowers of McColl; two brothers, Steve (Mandy) Deaver and Alan Deaver, both of Florence; sister-in-law, Teresa Deaver of Florence; seven grandchildren, Mandy (Kit) Gore, Virginia Logan, Alan Logan, Thomas Cain, Alex Cain, Christian Cain, and Caroline Roberts; two great-grandchildren, Gage Gore and Cameron Logan;nieces and nephews (to whom she was a surrogate grandmother ) Brandy (Scott) Nutter, Kevin Deaver, Chris Deaver, Seth Deaver and Sara Deaver; and several other nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by two sisters, Diane Beverly and Nana Marlene Deaver, and a brother Billy Deaver. The Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 3 PM at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at 2 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the McLeod Hospice House of the Pee Dee, 1203 East Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29501.
