Wallie C. Avant

Wallie Curren Avant, 51, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022. Wallie was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Wallie Curtain Avant and Betty Jo Herring Avant. He was a loader driver and yard manager for Case Auto Parts where he worked for 31 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Charles Avant, Beth Howle, and Wanda Coe. Surviving are his wife, Patty Avant; sons, Dustyn Avant (Anita) and Jaquiz Miles; daughters, Robin Kelly and Danielle Poston; grandchildren, Chance McDaniel, Johnathan “J.J.” Williams, Jr., Mariyah Gregg, Zaria Martinbeault, and Amari McKenzie; special grandchildren, Ari, Cayden, Brylee, Maddox, and Mason; brothers, John Avant and Tommy Avant; sisters, Evelyn Avant and Diane Edwards. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
