Wallace Wayne Hatchell

WAYNE HATCHELL Florence, SC Wallace Wayne Hatchell, 65, of Florence, was returned to our Father on Friday, December 23, 2011. Mr. Hatchell was born June 6, 1946 in Florence, a son of the late Wallace Traxler and Vernie Floyd Hatchell.He lettered in football, baseball, basketball and track for McClenaghan High School and was presented the MVP for Florence in pony league baseball by Mr. Bobby Richardson, former NY Yankee. He worked at Merita Bakery with his father as a youth then went on to work at Stone Container until his retirement after over twenty years of service.Mr. Hatchell's favorite pastime and passion was golf. He was a member of Florence Baptist Temple. Mr. Hatchell was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle. Mr. Hatchell was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Hatchell is survived by his wife, Robin Byrd Hatchell; his sons, Chip (Michele) Hatchell and Brian Hatchell, both of Florence; grandsons, Brayden and Brenden Hatchell; a sister, Colleen Hatchell Peters of Florence; and many lovingnieces and nephews. The family would like all friends to attend a celebration of life remembrance at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in the chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home .The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 1:00P.M.
