Wallace L. Guyton, Sr. Florence, SC Wallace L. Guyton, Sr., 86, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Carolinas Hospital after an illness. Mr. Guyton was born in Fairfield Co., SC a son of the late Whirter Guyton and Eula Mae Raines Guyton.He was a member of the College Park Baptist Church and the Moose Lodge in Darlington.He was owner and operator of Mercury Trucking Co. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his beloved wife, Doris Elizabeth Scott Guyton. Surviving are his children, Shearon (James) McKnight of Florence, Lynn (Glenda) Guyton of Wingate, NC, Teri (Ken) Lewis of Effingham and Dana (Robert Atkinson) Mayes of Florence; 8 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, c/o Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation, PO Box 151, Drayton, SC29333. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Entombment will follow in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
