Victoria Veronica Gimla

Victoria Veronica Gimla, 83, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

She was born in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of the late Harry Kosmowski and Alice Rosak Kosmowski. Mrs. Gimla was a part of many organizations, such as the Windows and Widowers of Florence, VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a former volunteer at McLeod Hospice.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Gimla; brothers, Harry Kosmowski Jr. and Jerry Kosmowski; and sister, Rose Barutha.

Surviving are sons, Bruce Sheaffer, of Columbia, SC, and Dale Heiden, of Florence, SC; daughter, June Sheaffer-Kelly, of Florence, SC; stepdaughters, Karla, Marsha and Paula 10 step-grandchildren; and 3 step-great-grandchildren and 1 on the way.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, September 6, at the funeral home.
