VERLIE CHRISTINE COOK GORE FLORENCE, SC Verlie Christine Cook Gore, 75, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at McLeod Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Gore was born in Florence, SC a daughter of the late William Theodore Cook and Vernie Matthews Cook. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ned Gore, Jr.; sister, Linda Earp and brother, John Cook. Surviving are her children, Larry (Shelley) Gore of Florence, Debbie (Russ) Evans of Chapin and Beverly Gore of Florence; grandchildren, Jennifer Turnage, Amy Wright, Alicia Hatfield and Melanie Weaver; great-grandchildren, Kayla Collier, Madelyn Kennedy, Peyton Hatfield and Graci Hatfield; brothers, Harry Cook, Roy Cook, Herman Cook and Billy Cook. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 15, 2013 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
