Verda Gaskins Evans

Verda Gaskins Evans, 102, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Mrs. Evans was born in Florence County, SC a daughter of the late John Thomas Gaskins and Ada Prosser Gaskins.She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry G. Evans; daughter-in-law, Ann Woods Evans; five brothers and four sisters. Surviving are her sons, Dan Evans of Lake City and Larry (Marie) Evans of Florence; daughter, Linda Billings of Florence; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
