Valentina Caulder

VALENTINA CAULDER St. Augustine, FL Valentina Caulder, formally of Florence and beloved Mother, Grandmother, Mother-in-Law, and Caregiver for many, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in St. Augustine, Florida, where she had resided with her daughter for the past 16 years. Born April 26, 1920 in the country of Latvia, Mrs. Caulder was the daughter of the late Arvid and Malvena Fitchenberg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Utley Caulder. For 35 years she worked as a Registered Nurse at McLeod Medical Center in Florence where she not only provided excellent care for her patients, but is also remembered by many of them for her loving kindness and concern for their families. She retired in 1985. Mrs. Caulder always loved life, spending time with her family and friends, and taking care of others. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:00 AM on Monday, November 21st at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held immediately after visitation in the Chapel. Burial will follow at 11:00 AM in the Florence National Cemetery. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Col. James (Trisha) Caulder and Victor (Jeanette) Caulder, both of Florence, SC; her daughters, Nancy Fulmer of St. Augustine, FL and Victoria Player of Florence, SC; her grandchildren, Dr. Melissa (Dr. Curt) Jones, Sherry Elder, Julie (David) Coker, Laura (Vince) Terranova, Rob Fulmer, Erika (Trinity) Henderson, Haley (Ben) Bosworth, Ashley Church, Lee Church and 20 Great Grandchildren.
