Toni Gainey McManus

Toni Gainey McManus, 61, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025.

She was the daughter of the late Archie Lee Gainey and Lois McDougal Gainey.

Toni was married to her devoted husband for 40 years, and together they were like two peas in a pod. She deeply loved her family and took great pride in her daughter, Marlee. She also loved spending time with her granddaughter Mary Everett. Toni dedicated herself to her work as a surgical technician in the GI lab at McLeod Hospital and previously served in the operating room at Florence General Hospital. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time at the beach, tending to her flowers, and watching hummingbirds

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Dianne Byrd.

Surviving are her husband, Michael “Jay” McManus; daughter, Marlee (Tyler) McManus Davison; granddaughter, Mary Everett Davison; sister, Kay Davis; niece, Leann Davis; and nephew, Corey (Lane) Davis and their two kids Lizze and Ben Davis.

The family will receive friends and family Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
