Tommy Constantinos Cholkas, 53, of Florence, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020. Tommy was born a son of Voula Koutsoupias Cholkas and John C. Cholkas.He was a member of the Transfiguration of Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church.He graduated from West Florence High School and attended the University of South Carolina and graduated from Francis Marion University.He trained and worked in HVAC and also worked in the family restaurant.Tommy was kind and loving to his friends and family. His smile was infectious. He was a best friend to his brother, Angelo.The two of them had a strong bond and were always there for each other. He will be missed by everyone he touched. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Angelo C. Cholkas; first cousins, Tommy and Deno Cholkas; Aunts, Rena Xythali and family, Athina Stamatis and family, Uncles, George Koutsoupias and family, Bill Koutsoupias and family, Pete Koutsoupias and family, and Nick Koutsoupias and family, and numerous loving extended family. A Trisagion service will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, May 24, 2020, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home, 2402 S. Irby Street, Florence, SC.COVID social distancing will be observed. Due to the current COVID-19 concerns, there will be a Private Service on Monday, May 25, 2020, at the Transfiguration of Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
