Dr. T. Paul Vivian passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017, after an illness at the McLeod Hospice House, Florence, South Carolina.Born November 17, 1949, in Mitchell, South Dakota, he was the son of the late Everett Howard Vivian and Allene Sharp Vivian.A life-long educator, Dr. Vivian was a graduate of The University of Georgia, received his Master’s in Education from Francis Marion University, and his Doctorate in Education from the University of South Carolina.He served as a teacher, principal, and superintendent in the Darlington County School District, Florence School District 2 (Pamplico), Florence School District 4 (Timmonsville), and G4S Youth Services Principal in St. Augustine, FL and Hastings, FL. He is survived by his wife Nancy McLellan Vivian of Florence, his sons Matthew McLellan Vivian of Florence and Walker Browning Vivian of Las Vegas, NV, a grandson Brody King of Las Vegas, NV, sisters Sydney V. Clark of Atlanta, GA and Cynthia V. (David) Campbell of Anderson, SC, and brother Samuel Everett (Vivian)Vivian of Greenwood, SC. In addition, Dr. Vivian is survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends in South Carolina and Florida. Memorial Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2017, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
