Thomas Daniel Young

Thomas Daniel “Tom” Young, 65, died Saturday, January 16, 2016 in the McLeod Hospice House. He was born November 21, 1950 in Framingham, MA, a son of Joyce Bain Modlin and the late John James Young, Jr. Tom was a veteran of the US Army. Survivors, in addition to his mother of McColl, SC, include a son, Tom Young; a daughter, Shelley Smith of PA; four brothers, Richard and David Modlin of McColl and John Young of Florence and Michael Young of Kingstree. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2016 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel in Florence, SC. Burial will be private in the Florence National Cemetery earlier on Thursday. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home.
