Thomas Lee Winburn

Thomas Lee Winburn, 71, of Florence, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 6, 2014. Mr. Winburn was born in Hartsville, SC, a son of the late Thomas Perry Winburn and Rosa Lee Perkinson Winburn.He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served in Vietnam.Mr. Winburn was a draftsman for the Darlington County Planning Commission for twenty-five years.He was a member of Church at Sandhurst where he served as a Deacon and was involved with the Missions Ministry.His passion was fishing and he also loved hunting and camping. Surviving are his wife of forty-seven years, Judith “Judy” Delphine Lawrence Winburn; his children, Chuck (Sherry) Lebar of Nahunta, GA, Tracy (Steve) Bond of Cameron, NC, Suzanne (Bryan) Michaux of Florence and Matthew (Kimberly) Winburn of Pamplico; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; his sisters, Judy Hoffmeyer and Nancy (Dennis) Doherty, both of Florence, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Church at Sandhurst.Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church at Sandhurst Mission Fund, 1140 3rd Loop Road, Florence, SC 29505.
