Thomas Weaver

Thomas Weaver Florence, SC Thomas H. Weaver, Jr., 93, died peacefully at Southland Healthcare Center on Sunday, November 15, 2015. He was born August 3, 1922 in Florence, SC, a son of the late Thomas H. and Maury Osborne Weaver, Sr. Mr. Weaver attended Clemson College, and was formerly employed with NASA. He then owned and operated several dry cleaning businesses while living in Charleston, SC. He was a former member of Citadel Square Baptist Church in Charleston and currently a member of First Baptist Church in Florence. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Southland Healthcare Center for all their compassion, love, and support during his time there. Survivors include his wife, Mary Margaret Weaver of Florence; a son, Thomas H. “Tim” Weaver, III of Louisville, KY; a step son, James T. McBratney, Jr. of Florence; a daughter, Ann Weaver (Roy) Turner of Florence; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a nephew, James L. “Ken” Rickenbaker. He was preceded in death by his first wife, June Pond Weaver and a sister, Betty Weaver Rickenbaker. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
