Thomas "Tommy" Lamar Powell

Thomas “Tommy” Lamar Powell, 40, of Florence, SC, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at a local hospital. Mr. Powell was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Thomas Legrand Powell and Billie Collins Powell.He worked at C. C. Dickson in counter sales.Mr. Powell loved hunting, fishing, bowling and golfing with his many friends. Surviving are his sister, Dawn (Shannon) Spivey of Darlington; his brothers, Timmy Williams of Florence and Marty (Deborah) Williams of Abbeville, AL and their daughters and grandchildren, Elizabeth (Kent) Holmes and Aubrey; and Nicki (JP) Sims and Nicholas and Rayne. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
