Thomas Irvin Tart

Thomas Irvin Tart, 78, of Florence, SC, went to be with the Lord on November 9, 2017, at home surrounded by his wife, daughter, and loving family. Mr. Tart was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Sam Douglas Tart and Lottie Hewitt Tart.He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon. Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years, Elizabeth “Lib” Kirby Tart of Florence; daughter, Dena Elizabeth Tart of Columbia; sister, Jessie T. Moss of Florence; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tart is predeceased by his brother, Raleigh Tarte; and sisters, Juliette Mosley and Lavenia Lane. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2017, at Stoudenmire- Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
