Thomas Wilson Jordan, 65, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021. Mr. Jordan was born the son of Janie Goud Jordan and the late James Cyril Jordan.He was a graduate of Furman University and a member of Evergreen Baptist Church where he enjoyed playing the organ for years.He had been a chef, working with some premier chefs over his career and had also taught music. In addition to his father, he is predeceased by his brother, James C. Jordan, Jr. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister-in-law, Lisa W. Jordan; niece and nephew, James C. Jordan, III and Leslie Aaron Jordan; great nephew and nieces, Dylan Jordan Outlaw, James Wyatt Outlaw and Penelope Jane Jordan; and a large extended family who loved and cared for him like a brother, as well as his Evergreen Church Family who also loved and cared for him. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at Evergreen Baptist Church in the gymnasium. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, at Evergreen Baptist Church.Burial at a later date will take place at Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Evergreen Baptist Church, 6316 Pamplico Highway, Effingham, SC29541, to assist the family with funeral expenses.
