Theresa A. Champy

Theresa A. Champy, 71, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at McLeod Hospice House. Theresa was born a daughter of the late Lurene Miller Arant and Wilford P. Arant.She graduated from Bowman Academy and retired as secretary to the Captain of South Carolina Highway Patrol in Orangeburg.Theresa was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Orangeburg, SC. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, J. T. Champy and brother-in-law, Jimmy Jones. Theresa is survived by her daughters, Paige Champy Inabinet (Chris) and Robin Champy Dantzler (Robbie); grandchild, Bobby Dantzler; brother, Perry Arant (Dayle) and sister, Elaine Arant Jones. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Orangeburg, SC.Theresa’s ashes will be laid to rest on the family farm at a later date. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in Wannamaker Hall at the church.
