TERESA “TESSIE” G. BROWN FLORENCE, SC TERESA “TESSIE” G. BROWN, 56, of Florence, formerly of Rocky Mount, NC, passed away on May 7, 2013 with family and loved ones by her side after a brave fight with cancer. Tessie was born in Rocky Mount, NC a daughter of the late John David Young and Mary Love Storm Young.She was a retired registered nurse with over 30 years of experience.She enjoyed working in her garden, cooking, a mystery of any kind and above all else, taking care of her family. Surviving are her devoted husband, William “Bill” Thornton Brown; daughters, Whitney Brown Johnson and her husband, T.J., of Florence and Kacie E. Brown; granddaughters, Kaley E. Grainger and Alexis G. Johnson, both of Florence; grandson, Aiden J. Johnson of Florence and a brother, David (Peggy) Young of Rocky Mount, NC. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, May 10, 2013 at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
