Sylvia Hardee Causey

Sylvia Hardee Causey Darlington, SC Sylvia Hardee Causey, 72, of Darlington, died Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Carolinas Hospital in Florence after an illness. Mrs. Causey was born June 30, 1942 in Horry County, a daughter of the late Bill H. Hardee and Ina Mae Neeley Hardee. She was a Medical Technologist and retired from Carolinas Hospital System. She was a member of Northgate Baptist Church for over 40 years. She served as Past President of the Pee Dee Shrine Clubs’ Ladies Auxillary and presently Secretary/Treasurer of the SC American Medical Technologists Association. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Kenneth Causey of Darlington; children,Julie Causey of Florence and Kenny (Tonya) Causey of Timmonsville;3 grandchildren, Natalie Hope Ellis, Causey Dean Ellis and Caden McDaniel Causey; brother, Billy Hardee of Longs, SC. The family will receive friends Monday evening, October 20, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home and any time at the residence of her son, Kenny Causey at 4231 Oliver Rd., Timmonsville, SC 29161. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in the chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home, with Rev. Jackie Knight officiating. Burial will be held immediately after at Florence National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Omar Center, 176 Patriots Point Rd., Mt. Pleasant, SC29464.
