Mr. Springs was born in Florence, SC.He was owner/operator of S & J Heating and Air Company and attended Cornerstone Baptist Church.Mr. Springs was an avid practical joker and loved watching racing. Mr. Springs is survived by his wife, Janice Edwards Springs of the home; his parents, Aaron R.Stevenson and Minnie Springs Stevenson of Staunton, VA; a son, Adam Springs of Florence; two step-sons, Charles Strickland of Florence and Richard Strickland, of Ft. Walt Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Layla Strickland and CJ Strickland of Florence; two sisters, Karen Carpenter and Angie (Vernon) Thompson; two nieces, Morgan Carpenter and Arin Thompson and a nephew, Kenneth Thompson, all of Staunton, VA. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2012 in the chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
