Stephen Hodge

STEPHEN HODGE, SR. FLORENCE, SC Stephen Hodge, Sr., 88, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013. Mr. Hodge was born in Manning, SC, a son of the late William Olin Hodge and Maybelle Garrett Hodge.He served in the US Marine Corp and the US Army during World War II. Mr. Hodge retired from Pepsi Cola after thirty-eight years. He was a charter member of Peace Free Will Baptist Church and was a Mason. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Hazel Forde Hodge, his son, Stephen Hodge, Jr., all his brothers and sisters, and his son-in-law, Bill Brandon. Surviving are his daughters, Gayle (Chalmers) Hodge Hutchinson of Florence and Linda Hodge Brandon of Darlington; three grandchildren, Amy (DeWitt) Woods of Brevard, NC, Ken (Susan) Powell of St. Augustine, FL, and Joshua Hodge of Timmonsville; and three great-grandchildren, Madeline Powell, Anna Belle Powell, and Anderson Woods. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Peace Free Will Baptist Church.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
