Shirley A. Hatley

Shirley A. Hatley, 84, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016. Ms. Hatley was born in Marion, NC, a daughter of the late Reverend C. W. English and Ira L. Williams English.She was a draftsman in the engineering department at Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company in Charlotte, NC.Ms. Hatley was a member of Faith Southern Methodist. Surviving are son, John D. Hatley, Jr. and his wife, Kellie Rahne, of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren. John D. Hatley, III and Abbie Hatley; and great-grandchildren, Emily, Isabelle, Jonthon and John D. Hatley, IV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Hatley. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016, at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.Entombment will immediately follow directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
