Sherry Gwendolyn "Gwen" Jones

Sherry Gwendolyn “Gwen” Jones, 52, of Florence, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness. Miss Jones was born in Florence, SC a daughter of William “Recie” Jones and Eulee Poston Jones.She loved children and they, in return, adored her.Faith in God was her rock throughout her life and by her example, many found salvation through Christ. Surviving are her parents of Florence; aunts and uncles, Odella Doris Poston and Jerry (Susie) Poston, both of Florence, Mildred (Allen) Padgett of Pamplico, Burnie (Mary Lee) Poston, Kenneth (Iris) Jones, W.D. (Doris) Jones, Keith (Linda) Jones and J.C. (Vilotte) Beard, all of Johnsonville, Steve (April) Poston of Atlanta, GA and Bobby (Jean) Gallihan of Fredericksburg, VA and numerous cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 13927, Florence, SC29504. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church.Burial will follow in Hillside Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
