Shelby Jean Kennedy

Shelby Jean Kennedy, 77, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016. Mrs. Kennedy was born in Florence, a daughter of the late Caleb Dal Spivey and Grace Munn Spivey.She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Surviving are her son, Ernest Eugene Kennedy, Jr. of Florence; daughters, Debra (Walter) Fowler of Florence, Cindy (Ricky) Saxton of Florence and Mary Elizabeth (Tony) Smith of Greensboro, NC; brother, Rufus Spivey of Florence; grandchildren, Donna (Travis) Driggers, Kristy (Kevin) Jordan, Jared (Annie) Fowler, Tommy (Brittany) Bass, Jr., Jessica Saxton and Taylor Saxton; great-grandchildren, Mallory Driggers, Justin Jordan, Jordan Tyner, Briana & Clarissa Singletary, Addyson Fowler and Elijah Fowler and a number of special nieces and nephews and close family friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Eugene Kennedy, Sr.; brother, C. D. Spivey; and sisters, Juanita Phipps, Alma Shaw, Mary Elizabeth Buffkin, Marie Huggins, Mattie Lee Kennedy and Patricia Lee. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Grace Baptist Church. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
