SHEILA ANNE MATTHEWS BEDENBAUGH CUMBIE DARLINGTON, SC Sheila Cumbie, 52, fought her last battle on this earth and passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016.She is now free of all the illnesses which she battled in the last few years of her life. Born November 19, 1963, in Florence, SC, she was the daughter of Libby Galliher Kester and the late Elton Matthews.She was a graduate of Greenville High School and attended Clemson University, majoring in marketing.She worked in sales and the favorite expression everyone said about her was“she can sell ice to an Eskimo, she should be a Philadelphia lawyer”.She was loving and kind and had a compassion for those less fortunate than her, giving even when she didn’t have it to give.She loved her God and knew His word.She would quote it to you often. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her mother, Libby (Larry) Kester; daughter, Haylee (Kalen) Rose Bedenbaugh Boswell of Phenix City, Alabama; son, Beau Cumbie of the home; grandson, Kayden Boswell of Phenix City, Alabama; one brother, Joel Elton (Dee Dee) Matthews of West Columbia, SC; step-daughter, Chelsea Hennegan; former husband, Sonny Cumbie; step-son, Larry Kester, Jr.; nephew Shane Kester; her extended family, Uncles Gene (Joyce) Matthews and George Matthews; Aunts Carolyn Flowers, Lib Bullard, Gloria (Joe) Parker and Patsy Matthews. She was preceded in death by her father; her beloved brother, Tony Matthews; husband, Kip Bedenbaugh; maternal grandparents, Joe Galliher and Maude Watson Galliher Goude; Uncle Buddy Galliher; paternal grandparents, Cole L. and Alice Goodman Matthews; Uncles Billy Joe Matthews and Lonnie Matthews. An informal gathering of her family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 1:30 PM at her home, 953 Potato House Rd., Darlington, SC.
