RUDOLPH HATCHER FLORENCE, SC RUDOLPH HATCHER, 78, of Florence, died on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at McLeod Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in an accident. Mr. Hatcher was born in Pendleton, SC.He was the son of the late Rev.John Paul Hatcher and Ileen Garrett Hatcher.He retired as a MSGT E7 from the Air National Guard after 26 years of service and retired from G.E. Medical Systems after 24 years.He was a long time and active member of the Florence Baptist Temple, a member of the Florence Amateur Radio Club and a member of the Civil Air Patrol.He had a love for family, flying, Mission trips and serving God and country. Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Sandra Holland Hatcher of Florence; children, Jerry (Katie) Hatcher of Manning, Vic Hatcher of Florence and Cynthia (Doug) Kendall of Elgin; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; step-children, Jenny Batchelor, Kim (Sam) Brunson, Melaine (Hal) Campbell, all of Florence and Rhonda C. Doran of Lexington; eight step-grandchildren; brother, Rev. Carlos (Ovis) Hatcher of Seneca and sister, Shirley Pitts of Seneca. Memorials may be made to the Florence Baptist Temple Mission Fund or to the church youth camp, PO Box 12809, Florence, SC29504. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Florence Baptist Temple.Entombment will follow at the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
