Ruby Elizabeth Young Kelly

Ruby Elizabeth Young Kelly, 91, of Lake City, passed away on April 4, 2019 peacefully at her home. Mrs. Kelly was born in Florence Co., SC a daughter of the late Arthur B. Young and Ruby Kennedy Young.She was a member of Lake City Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was a member of the Mae Wall Sunday School Class.She retired from Carolina’s Hospital as an LPN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William T. Kelly; son, James Anthony Kelly; daughter, Dorothy Lorraine Kelly; grandson, James A. Kelly, Jr.; brothers, Howard Young, Jack Young, both of Scranton, SC and Arthur Young of Garland, TX. Surviving are her son, John (Brenda) Kelly of Lake City; grandchildren, John W. (Meredith) Kelly, Jr. of Turbeville, SC, William T. (Amanda) Kelly, II of Irmo, SC, William (Rebecca) Kelly of Darlington, SC, and ten great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Elsie (Chess) Lyons and Caroline Kelly, both of Lake City, SC; brother-in-law, Pete Kelly of Columbia, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home, 2402 South Irby Street, Florence, SC29505. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 pm Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to be held at 3:00 in the chapel.Burial will follow in Lake City Memorial Park.
