Ruby Alvilda Collins

Ruby Alvilda Collins, 72, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at McLeod Hospice House surrounded by her family. Mrs. Collins was born in Horry County, SC, a daughter of the late Odeth Medlin and Elmer Capps Medlin.She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.Mrs. Collins was a member of Coward Baptist Church and loved to fish. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Dale Collins and Ronald Collins; her daughter, Amanda Collins; seven brothers and one sister. Surviving are her husband, William D. Collins; her son, Paul Russell Collins of Gallivants Ferry, SC; daughters, Robin (Mark) Hayes of Abingdon, VA and Jackie (Alex) Ard of Florence; thirteen grandchildren; eighteengreat-grandchildren and sisters, Bonnie (Tommy) Sawyer of Marquette, MI and Phyllis (Danny) Brotherton of Florence. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the church and other times at the home of Jackie and Alex Ard, 6861 Isgett Road. Memorial Services will be held 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Coward Baptist Church directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice, P. O.
